Storefront Improvement Grant
The Storefront Improvement Grant Program provides a matching grant of up to 50% of your total project cost, with no grant greater than $350. A committee of the BID’s Board of Directors will award grants on a competitive basis. Special consideration will be granted to projects that enhance the historic character of the neighborhood.
Grants are awarded to merchants and property owners undertaking the following projects:
- Replacing or repairing awnings or store signs
- Replacing roll-down gates with the slatted (see-through) variety
- Replacing or repairing storefronts
- Steam cleaning entire building facades
- Restoring decorative features such as window surrounds, lintels and cornices
Grants are provided on a reimbursement basis by submitting a dated receipt marked paid in full. No grants will be awarded unless a completed application has been approved by our committee. Applications must apply for the grant prior to making improvements.
