Please join Amani Olu and me on June 19 from 6PM – 8PM at Allegra LaViola Gallery for a private Happening conducted by Ellen Jong , whose exhibition, The Invisible Line opened at the gallery on Tuesday, June 5, 2012.
During the opening of The Invisible Line, Jong invited guests to contribute words written on paper, which she will release contained within balloons on Tuesday, June 19. The Happening will offer participants a chance to let go of something inside them and perhaps explore a journey in self-discovery with the artist. Through this Happening, participants can experience the practice of letting go, very much as Jong did when she created her love declaration Getting To Know My Husband’s Cock, the inspiration and premise of her show, The Invisible Line.
