Late Nights On The LES Initiative
During the month of December the Lower East Side BID encouraged merchants to stay open late for the holiday shopping season. Over 50 clothing and accessories stores participated extending their hours. The LES BID promoted the initiative on the LES website and via public newsletter and also published a print ad in the Village Voice and the Villager, listing all the stores. The Lower East Side Business Improvement District sees extended hours as an excellent way to bring potential consumers to the Lower East Side, luring visitors and residents after work, especially those coming to patronize the late night establishments.
