Draft Space

DRAFTspace is an alternative pop-up art space. We rent vacant storefronts on the Lower East Side of New York City for the short term, temporarily converting them into pop-up art spaces and providing them to emerging artists to showcase their works. We seek a better way to transform underutilized urban spaces into vibrant culture spots.

We're committed to providing an experimental platform in which artists can showcase their works outside of the system of mainstream commercial galleries. We hope that hundreds of artists will benefit from the exposure and support at DRAFTspace and that our perpetual pop-up series will grow into an archive of footage that preserves a record of cultural notables as it evolves over time.
